PMS Color Match
Select this service to ensure that your logo or background colors print as close as possible to the intended color. You will need to provide us with a PMS color you would like matched and also to supply artwork designed using the desired PMS / Pantone color. The desired PMS colors should be included in color swatches in your design.
Please note, our printers print using CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black combinations). This 4-color process will not always convert or adjust your PMS (Pantone Matching System) color automatically or perfectly. Quantity 1 of this selection will give you a PMS color match for one color to be conducted by our print specialists. You may choose to match more than one color if needed, but please note, it is not possible to color match textures or gradients.
After you select this option, pay and then upload your file. Please provide us with the PMS color(s) you would like us to match. Be advised that a PMS color match will add a day to our turnaround time.
Helpful Tip: Please supply a LAYERED file. Acceptable file formats are: .PDF, .TIFF, .EPS, Adobe Illustrator
NOTE: We can color match all media materials, except for Backlit Fabric and Acrylic Panels.
You can purchase a hard copy proof to see your PMS color printed on the media you plan to order. This selection is also best for Backlit Fabrics.
Additional Details and TipsHow it works: - Adding Quantity 1 of this service covers the color matching of one (1) PMS color on one (1) material type (e.g., PMS 485 C on Stretch Fabric).
- If your project requires matching multiple PMS colors or applying the same PMS color across multiple material types, please increase the quantity accordingly. The charge is applied per color, per material.
- After you approve your digital proofs, a member of our Graphics Department will meticulously work to match your specified PMS color(s) as closely as possible using CMYK inks.
Important information and helpful tips: - File Requirements: Please provide an editable/layered file in one of the following formats: .PDF, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe Photoshop. This allows for necessary color adjustments.
- Turnaround Time: Please be aware that the color-matching process will add 1-2 business days to your production turnaround time.
- Pantone Color Selection: For optimal results, please only select Pantone colors from the Pantone Color Bridge Coated Book. This book is specifically designed to show CMYK equivalents.
- CMYK Reference: To preview the potential CMYK conversion of your chosen PMS color, you can reference the "CP" (Process Coated) swatch in the Pantone Color Bridge Coated color book (e.g., 192 CP). Please note that this is just a reference, and our technicians will optimize the conversion for the specific material.
- Limitations: We are unable to accurately match the following:
- HEX colors
- Swatch numbers from other Pantone books
- Textures, gradients, pastels, bright neon colors, or metallic colors
- Production Variables: Color profiles and other production factors are subject to change. We strive for consistency, but minor variations may occur.
